Our last day before the school Christmas break is coming soon, so it is time to start thinking about Christmas gifts for the kids’ teachers. I always get each of them a gift card, but I like the kids to make them small homemade gifts to show their appreciation also.
Teachers get a lot of baked goodies which need to be used right away, so I have listed some ideas which they can put away and enjoy later.
These gifts would also be appropriate for kids to make for grandparents and other relatives, neighbors, or any special people in their lives.
Homemade Gifts
Homemade Spice Mixes
These spice mixes are a nice way to say thank you to somebody who enjoys cooking.
Decorate a Candle
Dress up a plain candle to show somebody you are thinking of them. These artwork transfer candles are an attractive way for a child to write a special thank you message. Or for a more sophisticated look, make these cinnamon wrapped candles.
Aromatic Personal Gifts
Pamper somebody special with a personal gift which smells great. These homemade scented bath salts would be appreciated by anyone who likes a long soak in the bath. This lemon hand scrub will refresh the hands of anybody who’s daily work makes their hands need special care. And these scented sachets will be appreciated for the wonderful scent they leave in their drawers.
Gifts in a Jar
Gifts in a jar are nice because they can be pulled out and used when all of the holiday treats are gone. For cookie mixes try Christmas cookies or cranberry cookies in a jar. For something different and a little more decadent, these toffee blondies in a jar fill the bill. If you prefer to give a warm drink, you can’t go wrong with classic hot cocoa or peppermint hot cocoa in a jar.
