• First reading: Isaiah 49:14-15 – “Can a mother forget her infant, be without tenderness for the child of her womb?”
• Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 61:2-3, 6-9 – “Only in God is my soul at rest”
• Second reading: 1 Corinthians 4:1-5 – “Therefore do not make any judgment before the appointed time, until the Lord comes, for he will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will manifest the motives of our hearts, and then everyone will receive praise from God.”
• Gospel: Matthew 6:24-34 – “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?”

• Second Reading: 2 Corinthians 3:1-6 – “Not that of ourselves we are qualified to take credit for anything as coming from us; rather, our qualification comes from God, who has indeed qualified us as ministers of a new covenant, not of letter but of spirit; for the letter brings death, but the Spirit gives life.”
• Gospel: Mark 2:18-22 – “As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast”
