Equipment / Materials Needed
- One chair for each person
- Blindfold (or ask the person to close their eyes)
- A space where everyone can sit in a circle
Setup Instructions
- Set up the chairs in a circle.
- Choose one person to be “It.”
- Ask “It” to leave the room or cover their ears so they cannot hear.
- While “It” is out, silently choose one person in the circle to be the “Mystery Voice.”
- Bring “It” back and have them sit in the center of the circle.
- Blindfold “It” or ask them to close their eyes.
- Allow the people in the circle to exchange places.
Game Play Instructions
- The Mystery Voice says a short phrase like “Hello” or “Guess who I am” in a disguised voice.
- “It” listens carefully and makes a guess.
- “It” gets three guesses to figure out who the Mystery Voice is.
- If they guess right, they can switch places with the Mystery Voice.
- If not, you can tell them who it was and let someone else have a turn.
- Keep playing until everyone has had a turn being “It.”
Extra Tips and Variations
- The Mystery Voice can say a Bible verse or funny phrase in a silly voice.
- Try having two people speak together to make it harder.
- Remind everyone to speak kindly and not to make fun of others.
- Make sure the space is clear so no one trips while blindfolded.
- If someone is not comfortable being blindfolded, just have them close their eyes.
