A Prayer for Forgiveness
Based on Psalm 130
I come before you today with a humble and contrite heart.
I cry out to you from the depths of my soul,
asking for your mercy and forgiveness.
If you kept count of my sins, I would die.
But I trust in your mercy and compassion.
You are the source of all wisdom and knowledge.
I wait for your mercy Lord.
I wait in hope, as one waits for the dawn.
May all those who are struggling with sin and temptation,
turn to you with contrite hearts
and receive your mercy and forgiveness.
Amen.
