Saint Lawrence Giustiniani

Saint Lawrence Giustiniani is known for his deep love for God and his service to the Church. He is sometimes called Lorenzo Giustiniani, especially in Italian. He lived in the late 1300s and early 1400s, a time when many parts of the Church needed help and renewal.

Lawrence joined the Canons Regular of St. George in Alga. This was a small community of men who lived simply and prayed together. They followed a strict rule of life.

He lived with very few things and spent much time in prayer and fasting. He believed that serving others and loving God were more important than anything else.
