Saint Matilde

Saint Matilde, also called Saint Matilda of Ringelheim, lived in the 900s. She was a queen of Germany and a woman known for her deep faith. She spent much of her life helping the poor and supporting the Church. Matilde is remembered for her kindness and strong belief in God.

She was born into a noble family but chose to live a life of service instead of selfish gain. Though she lived in a time of war and power struggles, she tried to live peacefully. She used her position as queen to help others, not to make herself richer.
