We all have people we try to avoid for one reason or another. This Lent, pick a person you would normally try to stay away from and pay some attention to him or her. Have a conversation.
There are many reasons we might avoid people. Maybe they annoy us or get on our nerves. Maybe they are unpopular and we don't want to be seen with them. Maybe we just don't know them and that makes us uncomfortable.
Whatever the reason, try to remember that the person we are avoiding is made in the image and likeness of God. Perhaps by interacting, we will discover something we didn't know about God also.
