Equipment / Materials
- About two dozen plastic cups (use more for a larger group)
- A large open space for play
Setup Instructions
- Divide the players into two equal teams.
- Assign one team as the “Up” team and the other as the “Down” team.
- Spread all the cups around the play area. Place them on their sides so they are easy to flip.
- Make sure there is enough space for players to move safely.
Game Play Instructions
- When the leader says “Go,” both teams start flipping cups.
- The “Up” team tries to flip all cups so they stand upright.
- The “Down” team tries to flip all cups upside down.
- Players must keep moving and flipping cups as fast as they can.
- After a set time, the leader calls “Stop!”
- Count the cups. The team with more cups in their position wins.
Variations and Safety Notes
- The leader can end the game when one team gets all the cups in their position instead of using a timer.
- For a bigger challenge, add more cups or spread them farther apart.
- Make sure players do not run into each other or push. Keep the game fun and safe.
- If playing indoors, choose a space with no breakable items nearby.
