Setup Instructions

  1. Ask everyone to stand in a circle.
  2. Make sure they are standing far enough apart so they can move their arms safely.
  3. If needed, leave extra space between players to allow for social distancing.
  4. Choose one player to start the game.

How to Play

  1. The first player says “Ah” while putting their left hand over their head and pointing to someone with their left pointer finger.
  2. The person who was pointed to says “So” while putting their right hand over their head and pointing to someone with their right pointer finger.
  3. The next person says “Co” while putting both arms out straight in front, pointing with both pointer fingers.
  4. The next person starts over by saying “Ah” and doing the correct motion.
  5. If someone says the wrong word or does the wrong motion, they are out and must step out of the circle.
  6. When someone makes a mistake, everyone else shouts a fun phrase together. For example, “Zip Zap!” or something that fits your group’s theme.
  7. Keep playing until only one person is left, or until you feel it’s time to end.

Notes and Variations

  • For younger groups, go slowly at first to help them learn.
  • You can play without eliminating players if you just want to have fun.
  • Try adding a silly penalty like doing a dance or telling a joke instead of sitting out.
  • Be sure everyone is kind and encouraging.
  • Remind players to be careful with their arm movements so no one gets poked or hit.
