  3. Two members of each team stand facing each other and hold hands to form a “tree.”
  4. The third member squats in the middle, becoming the “turkey.”
  5. Choose one person to be “It.”

Game Play

  1. The person who is “It” stands in the center and calls out commands.
  2. All groups or the selected group must follow the commands.
  3. If someone does not follow the command correctly, they become “It.”

Commands for All Groups

  1. Hunter: All turkeys must switch trees. The last turkey to find a tree is “It.”
  2. Fire in the Hearth: All trees must change partners. If a tree cannot find a new partner, their turkey is “It.”
  3. Supper Time: Everyone must move to a new position. Trees must switch partners. If a turkey ends up with a former tree member, they are “It.” If tree partners end up together, one of them is “It.”

Commands for One Trio

  1. Pass the Potatoes: The turkey runs left, and the trees run right around the circle. The last person back is “It.”
  2. Stir the Gravy: Trees switch sides or become the turkey. The turkey becomes one of the trees. The last one in position is “It.” If they do it quickly, no one is “It.”
  3. Grandma’s Kitchen: The turkey runs away and tags another turkey. Both turkeys run around the circle to the tagged turkey’s position. The last turkey to arrive is “It.” If a tree moves, they become “It.”
