Instructions

1. Divide into Teams: Divide the group into two or more teams.
2. Line Up: Have each team line up.
3. Set Up Supplies: Place paper and pencils on a table in front of each team, ensuring each team has its own supplies.
4. Set the Timer: Set a timer for one minute.
5. Start the Game: On “go,” name a category (see the notes). The first person in line for each team writes as many things from that category on the paper as possible, silently. Start the timer.
6. Switch if Stuck: If a player gets stuck, they can run to the back of the team line. The next person in line continues adding answers.
7. Stop and Score: When the minute is up, stop writing. Teams receive one point for each appropriate and unique answer on their list.
8. Repeat: Play several rounds so everyone can participate.
9. Determine the Winner: The team with the highest total points at the end wins.

Notes

Categories can be related to the topic of the day or can be more general:

• People in the bible
• State names and capitals
• Ice cream flavors (be warned – this can get ridiculous!)
• Presidents
• Varieties of trees
• Games you can play with a ball
• etc.
