Surprise a Neighbor

Today for your advent activity, why not surprise a neighbor by doing something unexpected? You never know when somebody might really need an act of kindness.

I've listed a few ideas below. Add your own to the comments at the bottom of this post.

Some Ideas to Surprise a Neighbor

Sweep their sidewalk

Give them one of your homemade Christmas gifts

Just stop by and say hello

Rake some leaves

Sing a Christmas carol for them

Shovel snow if you have some in your area

Take them some cookies

Pick up any litter from the street in their yard

Say a prayer for them

Offer to walk their dog

Watch their kids for two hours while they go shopping (great if you have older kids and they have younger)

Help them put up some Christmas decorations

Make them a batch of soup or stew

Do one of the Corporal Works of Mercy.
