Regina said no. She told him that she had already given her life to Christ and would not change. She would not marry someone who did not share her faith, and she would not worship false gods.

Olybrius was angry. He saw her refusal as an insult. In those times, saying no to a powerful man could be dangerous. Because she would not marry him or give up her faith, Regina was arrested.

She was put in prison. She was told again that she could be free if she just gave up her faith. But Regina would not give in. Her answer was always the same. She belonged to Christ and would not turn away from Him.

Her choice was not easy. She knew that suffering and death might come next. But she chose faith over safety. She chose truth over comfort.

In prison, Regina faced great suffering. She was beaten and tortured. Her captors hoped that pain would break her will. But Regina stayed strong. She prayed through her pain. She believed that Jesus was with her.
