Mass Readings and Free Resources
October 2026 reminds us that God cares for His people and calls them to respond with faith and love. The readings speak about bearing good fruit, accepting God’s invitation, trusting Him above all rulers, and loving both God and neighbor. We see that our choices matter. We are asked to live with justice, mercy, and steady trust. Faith is not only words. It is shown in prayer, obedience, fairness, and daily acts of love.
October 2026 is Year A in the Sunday liturgical cycle and Year 2 in the weekday cycle.

27th Sunday in Ordinary Time

The 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year A shows that God cares for His people like a man who plants a vineyard. He gives what is needed to grow good fruit. But when the fruit is bad, there are results. God wants justice, kindness, and faith. Blessings should lead to right action and care for others.
In the Gospel, the tenants reject the landowner’s servants and his son. This warns us not to reject God’s message. We are called to pray, trust God, and focus on what is good. If we listen and obey, we will share in His kingdom and bear good fruit.
28th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Sunday October 11, 2026
The 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year A shows God as a host who prepares a great meal. He wants all people to come. Isaiah speaks of a day when tears are wiped away and death is no more. The psalm says the Lord guides and protects like a shepherd. God’s care is steady and sure.
In the Gospel, some people ignore the king’s call. Others come in from the streets. The door is open, but guests must be ready. Paul says he has learned to trust Christ in every season. We are invited to say yes to God and live in a way that fits His feast.
29th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Sunday October 18, 2026
The 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year A shows that God is at work in every place. He used Cyrus, a ruler who did not know Him, to help His people. This tells us that no leader or nation stands outside God’s plan. The psalm calls all lands to praise the Lord, who made the world and rules with justice.
In the Gospel, Jesus is tested with a question about taxes. He answers with calm wisdom. We are to fulfill our duties in society, yet never forget that our lives belong to God. Faith should shape our choices, our loyalty, and the way we treat others each day.
30th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Sunday October 25, 2026

The first reading speaks about protecting the poor and the stranger. God hears their cries. Paul praises believers who stayed faithful in trials. Their lives showed real change. This Sunday asks us to check our daily choices. Do our actions show love, fairness, and trust in God?
