March 2031

Mass Readings and Free Resources

March 2031 is about turning back to God and growing in faith. We see that God is patient, kind, and ready to forgive. He asks us to trust Him, listen to His voice, and change our ways. We are called to let go of sin, care for others, and keep moving forward. Even in hard moments, God stays with us and gives hope. This time helps us begin again and walk closer with Him each day.

March 2031 is Year C in the Sunday liturgical cycle and Year 1 in the weekday cycle.

Sundays and Holy Days in March 2031

1st Sunday of Lent

Sunday March 2, 2031

The 1st Sunday of Lent Year C begins our journey with Jesus in the desert. He faces hunger and temptation but stays faithful to God. He uses Scripture to stand firm. This shows us how to face our own struggles. We are called to trust God and turn to Him when life is hard.

The readings remind us that God is with us and saves those who call on Him. We are asked to give our best, stay strong, and keep faith. Lent is a time to pray, fast, and care for others. As we walk this path, we learn to trust God more each day.

2nd Sunday of Lent

Sunday March 9, 2031

The 2nd Sunday of Lent Year C shows how faith grows over time. Abram trusted God even when he could not see the future. The psalm speaks of waiting with hope. Paul reminds us that our true home is not here, but with Christ. These readings call us to keep our focus on God.

On the mountain, the disciples see Jesus in glory. They hear the Father tell them to listen to Him. This moment gives them strength for what lies ahead. We are also asked to slow down, listen, and trust. Lent is a time to look to Christ and stay close to Him each day.

3rd Sunday of Lent

Sunday March 16, 2031

The 3rd Sunday of Lent Year C calls us to stop and look at how we are living. God sees our struggles and hears our cries, just as He did with Moses. He stays close to us and invites us to change. We are given time to turn back and grow, but we are not meant to stay the same.

Jesus reminds us that hard events are not punishments. They are chances to wake up and live better. The story of the fig tree shows God’s patience. He gives care and time so we can bear fruit. Lent is a time to choose what is right and take steps toward God each day.

4th Sunday of Lent

Sunday March 23, 2031

The 4th Sunday of Lent Year C brings a break in the season with a note of joy. It reminds us that God cares for His people and keeps His promises. The readings show new life and fresh starts. The people enter the land and eat its food. We are told that in Christ, we are made new and given a new way to live.

The story of the lost son shows a father who runs to welcome him home. He forgives and celebrates his return. This shows how God treats us when we come back. We are called to accept this mercy and share it with others. This Sunday invites us to rejoice and trust in God’s love.

5th Sunday of Lent

Sunday March 30, 2031

The 5th Sunday of Lent Year C points us toward a fresh start. God tells His people to stop looking back and notice what He is doing now. He brings help where there was none and gives hope after loss. We are invited to move forward and trust that God is leading us to something new.

In the Gospel, Jesus meets a woman who is judged by others. He shows mercy and tells her to change her life. He does not shame her but gives her a chance to begin again. We are called to act with the same kindness. As Lent ends, we are asked to leave sin behind and walk in a new way.
